Thanks for the post. I’m glad I’m not the only one. As an IT professional I evaluate and look into PSA programs (basically customer service websites geared specifically for IT companies like mine.) I remembered googling “like:autotask” from Google using the Chrome browser but hadn’t considered that might be relevant. All of the sudden, now I’m getting stalked by Autotask.

I actually went to so far as to bring this up in a peer group of mine online only to find out I’m not the only one. So, now I just click on all the autotask ads… just to make them pay more for annoying me. Now rather than being stalked I feel somewhat vindicated.lol. It’s like I punch them in the wallet everytime they reach through my browser to annoy me!

I have been hit hard with Nexus one ads as I float around, even on my own site. I have done a lot of reading on the smart phones, just because I love that stuff, and my google reader has rss feeds of smart phone info fed everyday. And Also adds for buying zingers in bulk having been stalking me too. Very interesting article, makes me think a little different about google, I hope they are not like Anakin Skywalker and turn to the dark side.

I just remembered that Adwords guru Perry Marshall provided some preliminary analysis on interest based advertising the middle of last year. It’s a good read if you spend any money using Adwords content network:
